Embed Studio with SOM
This research based studio combines students from planning and architecture to begin the process of Master Planning for the Chinatown community. With a strong ethnic community and distinct cultural identity, Chinatown is ready to take control of their destiny. Three major roads define the neighborhood. Wentworth Avenue is the historic commercial core, Cermak Road is the major east-west thoroughfare for the area, and Archer Avenue parallels the new shopping area. Enhancing the characteristics of each road will help to define the neighborhood even further.
